Karl Lagerfeld for Chloé Fall 1981 romantic lamé gown. Lagerfeld arguably did his best work at Chloé during the 1970's and 1980's. There- we said it! This metallic masterpiece combines the trends of the era with the futuristic metallic shine of the lurex and the Neo-Victorian silhouette. This innovative collaboration of eras will come across as cutting edge for decades to come. Victorian inspired brown lace yolk, high neck, blouson top, and gently pleated tea length skirt. An iteration of this design was even featured in a 1981 Vogue advert. We've included the scan in the photos.
