1990's Kansai Yamamoto black peplum skirt. In the ‘70s, the late Japanese designer rose to fame after collaborating with muse David Bowie on a series of now iconic looks. His incorporation of exaggerated silhouettes and calligraphy can be seen in many designs, including this fabulous skirt. One side of the velvet trimmed peplum is decorated with black sequins and the other with calligraphy embroidery. The calligraphy roughly translates to something along the lines of "Shake the beautiful leaves". Back zip and button closure. Excellent condition. Fits a size X-Small to Small.
