An extravagant late 1960's gem by Bill Blass documented in the September 1969 issue of Vogue. This beautiful piece is a sparkling example of the late '60s style of America's elite. This glamorous design showcases the American designer's brilliant use of luxurious materials. The bold dress twinkles with a subtle shimmer. The brocade is of a pale silver base with a graphic lush jumbo floral motif graphic. The silver and floral graphic are the base for swirling ripples of metallic lurex threading in rows that cascade into an overlapping lattice. Truly mesmerizing! The floral botanicals are decadent shades of hot pink, lilac purple, soft mauve, rose gold, gold, midnight blue, and orange.
Regal bishop sleeves gather at the cuff and complement the cheeky plunging scoop neckline. The waistline sits just above the natural waist— a fashionable silhouette of the moment!
