Late 1970's Gold Champagne Lamé Jacquard Caftan Gown and Scarf

This exquisitely divine late 1970's evening gown transcends fads and eras with it's Old World beauty. The elegance of this dress conjures up images of early Hollywood depictions of ancient royalty with it's divine lamé and elegant silhouette.

The gorgeous champagne gold lamé jacquard drapes like liquid metal in a straight silhouette. The scarf can be tied at the waist as a belt, draped on the arms as a shawl, or even worn as a head scarf. The sleek lines of the silhouette are emphasized by the Indian inspired gold Dabka embroidery in a dense floral motif that complements the smaller floral motif of the jacquard. This embroidered trim decorates the half-kimono sleeves as well. The wide sleeves feature what may be our favorite detail-- tassels! On either sleeve, there is a divine braided lamé tassel with teeny imitation pearls. The dress is similar to a kaftan or tunic with a pull-on style opening, no additional closures aside from the single hook and eye at the chest. The dress is fully lined in a champagne silk chiffon.

Excellent vintage condition. There are very minimal lamé threads fraying at the hem, simply commensurate with age of the lamé.  One teeny tiny hole in the silk chiffon lining.

Best suits about a US 6.  This fit is dependent on the hip measurements.
