A gorgeous example of the genius of modernist Mexican Mid Century jewelry. Four amethyst lozenges sit in silver wheels engraved with a twisted rope cable motif. The five wheels link with arched domes. The silver has a beautiful time-earned patina. The glowing orbs of amethyst have a dreamy cloudy coloring. Ball-and-hitch clasp catch closure.
The details of the stamp dates this probably to the mid 1940's or 1950s. The stamp reads "Silver Mexico".
Light surface scratches to the amethyst stones, no major cracks. Pretty patina on silver. We like the tarnish!!
