Libertine F/W 2017 Embellished Rose Print Black Wool Dress

Indulge in a preppy and punk sensory overload with this eclectic yet refined wearable contraction by the Los Angeles fashion house, Libertine. This incredible piece is from their Fall 2017 collection, and although it was not featured on the runway, we have included photos of the collections relevant runway looks that share surface design motifs for inspiration (and eye candy!). Many of Libertine's creations are brought to life by upcycling vintage designer pieces which is the case for this particular dress. The black wool mini dress underneath the embellishments is a classic 2000's Valentino little black dress.

The sweet '60s-style silhouette hosts a wearable collage of sorts. The randomness of the elements chosen almost invokes a touch of dadaism! Vibrant surface embellishments depict flowers, playing cards, sea creatures, and more between glittering screen-printed pink and peach roses. The ruched bow decorates the front side with a bow tie at the shoulder that trails loose down the back. Fabulous high-quality merino wool with a bit of stretch courtesy of Valentino. Pull on style dress, no closure.
