An absolutely exquisite ensemble from the Spring 1984 collection of James Galanos — a masterclass in eveningwear artistry. The jacket is composed of delicate silk chiffon in a cream champagne hue with soft blush highlights and a subtle gold jacquard, arranged in meticulous diagonal hand-pleated pleats down the arms and a fishbone pattern down the front. Vertical rows of iridescent, clear, and gold beadwork punctuate the peaks of the chevron pleats, continuing at the collar, cuffs, hem, and down the center to conceal the zipper closure. Fully lined in champagne silk chiffon with light shoulder pads — expertly constructed throughout. The matching skirt is covered in heavy, all-over beading: softly iridescent glass bugle beads and golden flower beads patterned across a champagne silk chiffon ground, lined in the same romantic jacquard, finished with a petersham waistband and a tapered, knee-length silhouette. Overall very good vintage condition, with gentle fraying to the jacket's delicate sleeves; the skirt is in excellent condition with beadwork intact throughout both pieces.

James Galanos two-piece beaded evening ensemble, Spring 1984 runway collection. Cream champagne silk chiffon with gold jacquard, diagonal hand-pleating, and iridescent glass bugle bead and golden floral beadwork throughout the jacket and knee-length skirt. Fits US 6–8 (Small/Medium). Very good vintage condition with light fraying to the jacket sleeves; skirt beadwork fully intact. A rare, museum-caliber Galanos runway set.
