An incredible time capsule piece that beautifully captures the late 1960's and early 1970's fascination with Indian textiles. Delicate black silk chiffon with heavy embellishing of gold micro-sequins, red and green embroidery, and orange, green, and ecru appliqué with gold trim. The silk chiffon arms are unlined and sheer. The skirt is lined with a second layer of the same silk chiffon and semi-sheer. The bodice consists of two layers of the same fabric and one layer of opaque black silk. Hidden back zipper and hook closure. V-neck silhouette, not quite empire waist but just above the natural waist. I. Magnin & Co. label. Overall great vintage condition.
