Sweet and sophisticated evening gown from the glamorous 1930’s. The gown is composed of a black rayon crepe that drapes elegantly from the rhinestoned bodice. The bodice and shoulder straps are adorned with prong-set rhinestones that decorate the vampy bow-shaped sweetheart neckline. The skirt of the gown flows from the empire waist bodice with tiny pin tucks for illusion-pleating adding a lovely dimension. There are small snaps and shank button closures at the center back for a secure fit. Unlined. A timeless evening gown to have in your collection.
Overall very good vintage condition commensurate with the near 100 year age. Some repairs have been made to the lining and there are gentle signs of wear to the fabric around the buttons. The majority of the prong-set rhinestones are in tact with a few replacements throughout.
