In the 1980's, Grace Jones famously enlisted the help of Azzedine Alaïa to translate her aesthetic into the Bond cinematic universe, creating a character with a closetful of clingy hooded gowns.
This 1984/1985 era of Alaia has been well documented. Very flattering seams. 'Hood' can be draped for a more conventional look. Arms are made of a contrasting ribbed wool and are very long and narrow. The wool has a gentle give. Very good vintage condition. A few areas of professional reweaving that are not noticeable.
