This elegant unlabeled dress can be attributed to the late great James Galanos. Romantic and preppy. Crafted from a fine quality sheer silk chiffon in a houndstooth print, the dress has a classic straight silhouette, multi-layered lapels, and a flowy skirt with invisible pleats. The bishop sleeves gather around the ruched cuffs which are complete with rhinestone button closures. Snap buttons along the left side seam. Light shoulder pads. Sheer, single layer of chiffon at the bodice and a double layered skirt. Circa late 1970's / early 1980's.
Excellent condition, missing belt.
