The Way We Wore specializes in authenticated luxury vintage fashion from the early 20th century through the 2000s. Our focus is on designer pieces with historical significance, exceptional craftsmanship, and pieces that represent important moments in fashion.
We work with private collectors, estates, and individuals who have carefully preserved designer fashion. Each piece is evaluated for its authenticity, condition, and relevance to our collection.

To help us evaluate your piece, please email us with the following information:

AGREEMENT
Once terms are agreed upon, we arrange shipping or pickup, complete authentication, and proceed with payment or listing.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We focus on authenticated designer pieces from established fashion houses, particularly those with historical significance or exceptional craftsmanship. This includes haute couture, ready-to-wear from notable designers, and accessories from luxury brands. Condition and authenticity are paramount in our selection process.
We typically review submissions within 5-7 business days. Due to the volume of inquiries we receive, we can only respond to submissions that align with our current collecting focus.
We evaluate each piece individually. Minor wear appropriate to age and use is expected with vintage fashion. However, significant damage, heavy alterations, or missing components may affect our interest. Honest disclosure of all condition issues is appreciated.
If a submission doesn't align with our current needs, we may not respond. This reflects the specificity of our curation rather than the quality of your piece. We encourage you to explore other vintage specialists who may be a better fit.
If we express interest in your piece and you're in the Los Angeles area, we may arrange an in-person evaluation at our showroom. Initial submissions should be made via email.
Consignment terms are discussed individually based on the piece. We typically agree on a retail price and commission structure. Items are listed in our showroom and online platforms. Payment is made once the piece sells.
