What more can be said about BIBA that hasn't been written? The iconic boutique that defined London fashion from the mid sixties to seventies has a cult-like following that that only continues to grow in the age of the internet archives. In 1973 at the peak of the BIBA empire, the iconic Art Nouveau logo was everywhere in the "Big Biba" seven-story department store.
This 1970's BIBA gown is a full length column style goddess of a gown. The dress is composed of a beautiful butter cream BIBA logo lace with an apricot toned modesty slip built in from the bodice down. Rare and collectible. All she needs is a face painted in moody tones from the BIBA palette and a divine sitting room of silks and velvets to lounge in!
Unlabelled, but unmistakable due to the logo motif. A small handful of these gowns in other color-ways have popped up on the internet over the past decade with their labels in tact. It is likely the label was removed on this gown due to the sheer, nude-illusion nature of the gown. Cream painted "ALFA" zipper.
