This gown has us speechless! A perfect mix of the indulgent and semi-sheer Egyptian Revival period and the opulent Art Nouveau era, this gown evokes the most beautiful aspects from each! Delicate beadwork dominates this piece in marvelous patterns- all stitched into two very thin layers of chiffon. Its truly a wonder that the integrity of this piece holds as strongly as it does which is a testament to the craftsmanship. Button hook back and wrist closures. Very light shoulder padding. Great vintage condition with some inconsistency snags at the bottom hem and towards the last button on the back. A truly incredible piece. Estimated modern US 4/6, will accommodate at most an 8 with a higher risk to threads.
