From designers Dean and Den Caten comes this elegant DSquared2 black crepe evening gown from their F/W 2013 collection. Demure in the front, dramatic in the back. A beautifully designed gown that pulls from the 1940's Hollywood Glamour while still reading as relevant ant timeless. We imagine this gown as the show-stopping piece a femme fatale wears in the final act of a noir film.
The bodice features a wrap-style V neckline that breaks with a band across the waist. The skirt of the dress is gently gathered to drape flatteringly down the body of the skirt for an ultra feminine silhouette. Another nod to the 1940's with the wide-set shoulder straps, a small design detail that gives the hourglass silhouette a boost.
The back of the dress is the star of the show here. The shoulder straps gather at the center back to layer into a cascading waterfall ruffle that flows down the length of the dress in layered tiers. The ruffles create gorgeous dimension. Fully lined. Zip closure down the side.
