Christian Dior by Marc Bohan S/S 1962 Haute Couture Houndstooth Wool Dress with Belt, Documented

1962 Marc Bohan for Christian Dior! Feel effortlessly chic in a classic French houndstooth number. Charcoal grey and cream alpaca wool. This 1962 Christian Dior Haute Couture dress is perfect for a Parisian stroll along the Champs Elysees. The dress is immortalized by it's document on model Mickey Belveger, photographed by Hiro, for Harper's Bazaar UK, March 1962.

The dress features a stylish leather belt, breast pockets, and pockets at the hip for added practicality.  Internal skirt reinforcement is fastened with couture snap closures. Hook closure at the back of the external skirt. Features lower chest button.  Great vintage condition. No notable flaws, but some signs of age and light color change on belt. Drop waist silhouette with a loose fitting blouse and slim fitting skirt. Please account for the waist measurement as a high hip/lower waist measurement. Approximate modern US size 4.
