Gianfranco Ferre S/S 2001 Cream and Black Fringed and Woven Chevron Leather Jacket and Pants Ensemble

Ultra rare show-stopping Gianfranco Ferre ensemble from Spring 2001. The ensemble includes a fringed zip-up jacket and leather pants. The pants were featured on the runway and similar iterations of the jacket were as well. The jacket has a wide square neck with a zipper that runs down the center front. The jacket is composed of a black and cream leather stripe pattern with the lower panel of the torso and sleeves comprised of a complex woven leather and grosgrain ribbon that knots into a long tier of  fringe. Fully lined in rayon.

The ecru leather pants are mid-rise with a woven panel that hits along the hips. The woven portion consists of knotted cream and black leather woven into a chevron weave. The legs are adorned with a single row of chevron down the center front and back.  Zipper at the center back and at the pant hems. Fully lined in rayon to the hem zipper.

Great overall condition with a few imperfections to note. There is a stain on the back of the pants as shown in the photos. There are a few signs of yellowing at points of wear as shown in the photos. Otherwise great condition. Supple and strong leather. Beautifully constructed. 

Labelled an IT 40. About a US 6 or 4.
