Isabel Toledo Black Faille Bubble Dress with Graduated Loop Detailing

From the late, great Cuban-born designer Isabel Toled0- a fantastic, somewhat eccentric nod to the 1950s bubble dress. Toledo was perhaps best known for creating Michelle Obama's 2009 inaugural ensemble. With a history of creating geometric wonders, Toledo adds her eye for detail in the many gorgeously curated shapes of this dress. Even the inner boning is placed immaculately, the inner silk chiffon lining is an attention to detail and feminine softness that permeates her creations. Apart from the flattering silhouette of this dress, the main detail really is the front center loop detailing that makes this piece endearingly interesting. Added to that are the perfectly pleated cartridge pleats on the waist that give beautiful texture to the piece. Back zipper, hook clasp at top, inner waist hook. 100% Silk.
