Chinese Qing Embroidery Appliqué Turquoise Cashmere Cardigan Sweater- RARE
We love inventive ways to salvage and celebrate works of textile art such as this! The vivid silk hand embroidery appears to be from the late Qing dynasty era of the early 20th century. These incredible works of art were likely rescued from a silk robe and exquisitely repurposed on to this 1950's cashmere sweater. Truly an inspiring piece for any aspiring up-cycler or vintage lover. The metallic gold threads outlining the waves of ombre teal, turquoise, and cream silk thread shimmer in the light. This piece is truly, without a doubt, one of a kind. Wearable art and wearable history at it's finest. The cashmere sweater is in excellent condition and likely never worn. The label reads "Kay Wilson". The embroidery patches are in wonderful condition for their age, but do of course show some loose threads given that they are 100+ years old. Overall excellent condition.
