Zac Posen Spring 2006 "Pompeii" Multicolor Halter Dress
This vibrant multi-color halter dress with lame accents is what kaleidoscopic dreams are made of! Zac gave this dress to the owner of The Way We Wore and it was inspired by an piece of 1920's Art Deco trim that Doris gave him for inspiration. Amazing transformation with his creativity. From the Spring 2006 RTW collection. This is a fun and flirty dress that spans seasons- A light jacket can transform this into an autumn pop of color. There are so many elements to love between the golden threaded accents or the gorgeously cut bust that follows to the center of the dress. Our favorite is the mesh gladiator skirt detail that gives this dress that added wow factor- a simple twirl can reveal the semi-sheer mesh layered pleats that take this modern piece back to a goddess stature- Athena would love this fit. It's fitting that Zac Posen was inspired to call this dress the "pompeii" dress, alluding towards flattering ancient garb. Zipper back closure, halter has two buttons that could be altered for tightness. NWT, no apparent flaws, some loose threads form the making of this garment. Labeled size 10 but is more of a current size 8.
