Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Spring 1995 silk chiffon kaftan. Vibrant pistachio green silk chiffon. Sexy plunging neckline and high slit at front center. The long sash belt ties at the waist as desired. Dramatic bell sleeves add to the diaphanous extravagance. Two layers of silk chiffon make up the body of the dress. Unlined. Hidden side zipper closure.
An identical dress that Catherine Deneuve wore to the French Film Festival in Mexico in 1996 sold at the Yves Saint Laurent and Catherine Deneuve auction at Christies in 2019. Unlabelled, but undeniably Yves Saint Laurent.
Very good overall condition with two flaws to note. One point of mending at the right shoulder shown in the 10th photo and one pinpoint mark of discoloration shown in the 11th photo. The label is missing.
