Elegant 1950's Mainbocher Couture silk evening dress. Mainbocher dresses are known for their crisp, preciseness of their femininity.The sophisticated silhouette flatters the bodice with a fitted semi-sheer black silk torso with a high neckline. The delicate spaghetti strap slip dress peaks through the semi-sheer outer dress for a sultry touch. The dress's skirt is tiered with three layers of black lace. Timeless and classically stunning on it's own, this dress will look wonderful styled in a true-to-era late 1950's style or as an elegant base piece for an elevated 21st century styling. Expertly constructed for a true mid-century couture finish. The photos can't do this piece justice; the delicate lace and silk chiffon are exquisite to the touch. Vintage couture! Very collectible. Fully lined with two zipper closures at the side.
