An ultra rare iteration of one of Halston's most iconic silhouettes. Elizabeth Taylor, Lee Radziwell, and Marisa Berenson are among the countless women have been photographed in this Halston silhouette. When Halston unveiled this design it caused a media frenzy, and we have the original newspaper scans included in the photos. Versions have been exhibited in museums and there is always one included in every and any book on Halston (also scanned in the photos). This is a very unusual version in an muxurious deep emerald green velvet. The entire gown is cut to gather towards the bust falling in soft drapes down to the hem. At the bust there are two attached short ties that you can cinch in as needed to hold the dress in place. No closure besides the adjustable ties. Fully lined.

The gown has 2.5" hem that could be let out an inch or two if desired.
