Gianni Versace Couture S/S 1998 Royal Blue Blazer with Leather Stripe

Electrifying Gianni Versace Couture blazer from S/S 1998. The Versace Spring 1998 collection was Donatella's first collection for the House. This collection is of course incredibly coveted, and this unassuming couture jacket happens to be a little slice of fashion history.

This sleek silhouette with its single latch closure encapsulates the minimal futuristic style that capturing the imaginations of the culture on the verge o the new millennium. Sharply tailored royal blue wool blend fully lined in black satin rayon with the House's Medusa logo jacquard. The hook that connects the blazer at the under bust is a matte metal clasp with the Medusa head logo. The stand-out element of this piece is the black leather strip that extends across the right shoulder in a shape reminiscent of a lightning bolt or stroke of paint. Hidden pockets at the sides.
