This iconic Zac Posen dress was one of his first breakthrough moments from his first collection in 2002. Natalie Portman was seen in this dress for the Star Wars premiere in 2002 thus thrusting Posen into a spotlight on a public scale. Known for his craftsmanship, his eponymous line was already anticipated to be a hit-and it was! This dress is classy, alludes to the 30s form with its slinky silhouette and gorgeous sailor-esque shoulders/sleeves. Fluttery and flirty, its no wonder starlets chose this piece to proclaim themselves as talented ingenues. The multi-layered zig zag shoulder and decolletage accent is flattering. The bottom skirt flair of multi fabric flounce is a gorgeous addition to this piece. Half zipper in back and tie at back mid shoulder. Back peek-a-boo. Interior has raw hems, dress in excellent vintage condition with some loose threads and one faint water stain on right shoulder. Estimated size 2. The dress that launched a legendary career and a true collector's item!!
