Issey Miyake shibori jacket circa 2000's. The garment's pigment comes from the traditional Japanese resist dying method. This unusual style of resist dying is known as ori nui, and it is created using basting stitches to create various gathers and designs. Mandarin collar silhouette. Two pockets, one on each hip. Lightweight, soft cotton and lined with a second layer of matching dyed cotton. The cotton is a type of gauzy Japanese cotton that has a natural crinkle to it. Excellent condition.
