Bonnie Cashin for Sills 1960's Pink Knit Wool Jersey Short Sleeve Dress with Leather Belt

A classic, collectible, and eternally chic 1960s dress by Bonnie Cashin for Sills. This sweet dress is of a soft and durable knit wool jersey in a lively shade of bubblegum pink with hot pink leather detailing. The hot pink leather piping at the slight boat neck collar matches the self-tie unattached waist belt. The flattering neckline is complemented by short sleeves at a raglan cut. This innovative design was ahead of its time, as per usual with Cashin. This simple silhouette was the prototype for the T-shirt dress we all know today. Far more than a simple T-shirt dress, this elevated basic is composed of high-quality textiles, yet the understated embellishments clearly demonstrate Cashin's penchant for leather in American sportswear. This piece is unlabeled, but it came with the provenance of a very, very large collection of Cashins. We have more colorways available in similar silhouettes as well. Collectible and wearable. Lightweight wool jersey, unlined, no additional closures. Very good vintage condition. Gentle signs of age. Very light and subtle pilling from age, does not appear to show any signs of wear.
