Unbelievably chic blazer by Greg LaVoi for Irene. If you aren't familiar with Irene Lentz, the American fashion designer-turned-costumer known mononymously as Irene, you still have most certainly seen her work in iconic 1940's films like Meet Me in St. Louis (1944). LaVoi brought Irene's designs to a new generation when he launched this collection of designs inspired by her designs from the 1930's- early 1960's.
This magnificent piece has been crafted from a cream wool herringbone and black chantilly lace that has been intricately embellished with a variety of beads and sequins. The stunning blazer has an open V-neckline, stand collar, 3/4 length sleeves, folded cuffs, and oversized shank buttons. The bottom button has been covered in lace to seamlessly blend in, demonstrating true attention to detail and thoughtful design. The blazer is fully lined in a buttery silk charmeuse that oozes luxury.
Excellent condition.
