Last week Doris dazzled us with one of her famous “Dog and Pony” shows. After she returns from a buying trip, she always unpacks the treasures in front of the entire staff. We sit encircling her two enormous suitcases like a campfire and we cover our eyes between each piece so we can get the full impact of the big reveal.
We “Oooh” and “Aaah,” try on the pieces that are our favorites and snap pics, and when she can- she gives us the provenance of each masterfully hand embroidered and meticulously hand-beaded garment. Trust me, if you’re a vintage lover, it’s better than Christmas!
