Ohio born Don Loper was an American costume designer, as well as a screenwriter, choreographer, producer and actor. Known for introducing Judy Garland to her future husband, Vincente Minnelli, Loper designed for stars like Ella Fitzgerald and Gracie Allen and even played himself in an episode of I Love Lucy entitled “The Fashion Show.”
He designed the stage costumes for the famous Copacabana nightclub in New York City and was known for creating lavish gowns and Hollywood glamour.
