It wasn’t that long ago that famed costume designer, Ruth Carter (I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, What’s Love Got to Do with It, B*A*P*S, Amistad) visited The Way We Wore in search of 1960′s girl-group glamour. The project? A 2012 remake of the 1976 film “Sparkle;” a story loosely based on the Supremes and iconic girl groups of the late 1960′s.
