The March/April issue of Celebrity Life featured a flurry of vintage looks from The Way We Wore. Everything from a vintage fur stole and a metallic belt to a 1960s vintage organza ruffle jacket and a knockout Christian Dior was used in the “All About Evening” photo essay.
The Sartorialist is hosting a Vintage Photo Contest so if you have some fabulous old photos (nothing later than the 1980s) you may send them in along with related stories about the photo (sample entries have been posted if you need inspiration). The winner will receive a Celine inspiration book.
They’ve already received over 2,000 entries, but are still accepting submissions at sartorialistcontest@gmail.com. A winner will be announced on the site next week. Full instructions and rules may be found here.
The Divine Miss M recently paid us a visit. In honor of upcoming Earth Day (April 22, 2010) we salute Bette Midler, who wouldn’t even take a bag or tissue.
